La Bibliothèque Nationale de France - Since 1998, the catalogue of the BNF is available on the net. In a short time it will be ready also the Catalogue collectif de France (13 millions info. about the archives of the BNF, universities libraries, and 50 of the main municipal libraries in France. The online catalogue includes: BN-OPALE, books and magazines since 1970 (site Richelieu), BN-OPALINE, specialized collections, (site Richelieu), Catalogue du Haut-de-jardin (site Tolbiac), GALLICA, images and texts of the XIXth French speaking century. Bodleian Library -The Bodleian is the largest of the libraries operated by Oxford University and includes the Old Library, the New Library, the Radcliffe Camera and seven dependent libraries.The catalogues of the collection are in PDF format. CARL: Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries - Metaindex to journals, libraries and other sources. The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries and the University of Northern Colorado submitted a joint grant proposal to create a regional union catalog for many of the major academic and public libraries in the region using a central server. The project will allow users to view library holdings and circulation information with a single query of the global database.

The World-Wide Web Virtual Library: Subject Catalogue - The VL is the oldest catalog of the web, started by Tim Berners-Lee. Unlike commercial catalogs, it is run by a loose confederation of volunteers, who compile pages of key links for particular areas in which they are expert; even though it isn't the biggest index of the web, the VL pages are widely recognised as being amongst the highest-quality guides to particular sections of the web.
