CARL: Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries - Metaindex to libraries, e-journals and many other web resources. 

Cambridge University Press -Journals Online - The service  provides all users with free access to tables of contents,  abstracts and an e-mail alerting service.

Catalogo italiano dei periodici - By the Archivio Collettivo Nazionale dei Periodici (ACNP), an online catalogue providing updated, interdisciplinary  bibliography of journals, reviews and magazines held in the Italian libraries. 

CIC Electronic Journals Collection- A prototype electronic journal management system coordinated by the librarians of the CIC member universities, and the staffs of CICNet, Inc. and the CIC. This  collection aims to be an authoritative source of electronic research and academic serial publications - incorporating all freely distributed scholarly electronic journals available online. The CIC-EJC serves as the electronic journal collection for the CIC member university libraries.Ultimately, the collection will include electronic serials licensed only to the CIC member universities.

Journals and Newspapers -The English server of interdisciplinary e-journals and newspapers. 

JSTOR (University of Michigan, archive of scholarly journals) - Journal digitizing, storage and archiving project. Provides the index of current and upcoming journals  available online alphabetically, by discipline, or by publisher. See JStor Search demonstration , where you can search a limited subset of the JSTOR database. This subset contains the contents of The American Economic Review, The American Political Science Review, and The William and Mary Quarterly only through 1921. 

New Jour-Electronic Journals and Newsletters -This is the archives for new journals and newsletters available on the Internet, providing a complete alphabetical-archive, recent issues -reverse chronological . 

Newspaper and Current Periodical Room Home Page (Library of Congress) - The Newspaper & Current Periodical Room, from LC's Serial and Government Publications Division, supports a list of Periodical Titles Online and Lists of Newspapers and Periodical Resources on the Internet.  Local link to LC MARVEL, the Library of Congress gopher. Technical and public services directories include many  serial and e-journal resources. 

Penn Library-Journals (University of Pennsylvania) - One of the largest index of electronic journals and newspaper listed by category. 

Project Muse - Under construction a wide database with full texts of many  American e-journals covering arts, literature, science, philosophy, theater. Users need subscription. 

Scholarly Journals Distributed Via the World-Wide Web ( University of Houston) - This directory provides links to established Web-based scholarly journals that offer access to English language article files without requiring user registration or fees.  Browsable index of electronic journals.  The NewJour mailing list archive offers information on forthcoming electronic journals. The Scholarly Electronic Publishing Bibliography provides more comprehensive directories of e-journals. An ASCII file that lists all journals included in this directory is also available.

Chronicon - An Online Journal of History - Electronic journal of international history by the Department of History, University College-Cork; publishes articles on history from the post-classical to the contemporary age. 

Clio - Spanish e-journal devoted to historical  and historiographical studies, addressed to  highschool or  univeristy  students and   highschool teachers interessed in developing the use of new media in the study of history. Spanish text. 

Configurations. A Journal of Literature, Science and Technology - The journal of the Society for literature and science explores the relations of literature and the arts to the science and technology. Full text of passed volumes is available online by subscription  at the Project Muse

Electronic Journal of Australia and New Zealand History - Speaking about Australian and New Zealand history, the journal aims to review and improve the use of technology in historiography.

Exemplaria: A Journal of Theory in Medieval and Renaissance Studies - By the Dep. of  English at the Florida University. The journal would like to provide  a forum where different methods, terminologies and approaches in Medieval and Renaissance history can be communicated and developped. 

H-Net Book Reviews by book author - By the Michigan State University, a rich collection of online published reviews listed by authors. The H-Net's Electronic Discussion List provides electronic networks, linking professors and students in exchange of ideas and materials .
